AMERICA'S MISS PAGEANTS is proud to announce that Chelsea Belanger,
21, was crowned America's Miss 2008 on July 5, 2008 at The
International Plaza Resort & Spa in Orlando, Florida.
Chelsea, who has recently moved to Texas, represented Maryland at the
national pageant. She was crowned Miss Maryland in August, 2007. In
addition to winning the national title, Chelsea also won the fitness wear
and formal wear competitions, as well as the People's Choice Award in the
Miss division.
Chelsea
is a 2007 graduate of Eagle University. She is also a graduate of
Barbizon and a certified Scuba Diver (PADI). Chelsea, a long-time
volunteer with "Happy Helpers for the Homeless" in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was also instrumental in spearheading a 2007 Worldwide Freedom
Harvest. She enjoys tutoring young children, traveling, watching classic
movies, scrapbooking, kickboxing and volleyball. To keep physically fit,
Chelsea works out, swims, runs, and eats healthy. She describes herself
as spiritual, creative and motivated.
Chelsea
believes that you should give of yourself and inspire others to give of
themselves. She is proud of who she is and what she has accomplished and
strives to master her goals.
With
her title, Chelsea says she will continue to be a role model, volunteer in
her new community and church and represent America's Miss as a young woman
who holds a title of honor.
