When is the 2011 National Pageant?

 

The National Pageant will be held in JUNE 20-24, 2011 at The MARYLAND THEATER FOR THE CREATIVE ARTS, in Annapolis, Maryland.  The contestants will arrive in Maryland on Monday, June 20, 2011.  The final show will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011.

 

 

 

Will I be required to stay at the Host Hotel?

 

Yes, all contestants are required to stay at the Host Hotel.  The Pageant has secured a discounted room rate for contestants and their families.  Contestants will be given the "reservation code" to receive the discounted rate.

 

 

When will I receive my crown and sash?

 

Upon receipt of payment of your sponsor/entry fee in full, an order will be placed for your crown and sash.  Crowns generally take about 10 days to come in.  Banners usually take 4-6 weeks.  If you are scheduled for an appearance and need these items sooner, we can put a rush on the order, however, you will be asked to pay the "rush" fee charged by our vendors and any rush shipping cost.  NOTE.  Crowns & sashes are ordered on the 1st and 15th of every month. Meaning, if you pay your sponsor fee after the 1st, your crown & sash will not be ordered until the 15th of that month.

 

 

How much is the cost to enter?

 

If there is no State Pageant held in your state, you may compete in the National Pageant as an At-Large contestant*. At-large contestants are required to submit a Sponsor/Entry Fee of $775.00 to compete at the 2011 National Pageant.  The Sponsor Fee includes the contestants official state crown and rhinestone sash, opening number cocktail dress, participation award, Pageant T-shirt, some meals, admission and transportation to area attractions and special gifts during Pageant Week.  Contestants are required to pay for their own wardrobe, hotel accommodations and transportation to and from the National Pageant.

 

 

Can I pay the entry fee in installments?

 

There is a $250 deposit required with the application. This deposit is deducted from the $775 Sponsor Fee.  The balance may be paid in  installments.  However, full payment must be submitted no later than April 15, 2011.  Your photo will not be added to the website until payment is paid in full.

 

 

Who May Participate?

 

All qualified applicants may represent their state or region to compete in the National Pageant.  To qualify you must be a U.S. citizen and meet the following criteria:

 

   The TEEN DIVISION  is open to:

  • Young ladies between the ages of 13-18*;  who are

  • Natural born females, single, with no children;  and

  • A resident, student, own property or is employed in the state in which she is applying.

  • Contestant must not hold a national title with any other Pageant, as of April 1 of competition year; and may not compete in any other pageants during her reign.

   The MISS DIVISION  is open to:

  • Young women between the ages of 19-26*;  who are

  • Natural born females, single, with no children;  and

  • A resident, student, own property or is employed in the state in which she is applying.

  • Contestant must not hold a national title with any other Pageant, as of April 1 of competition year; and may not compete in any other pageants during her reign.  

   The MS DIVISION  is open to:

  • Ladies at least 21 years of age*;  who are

  • Natural born females, unmarried (single, divorced or married) and who may be a parent;  and

  • A resident, student, own property or is employed in the state in which she is applying.

  • Contestant must not hold a national title with any other Pageant, as of April 1 of competition year; and may not compete in any other pageants during her reign.  

 

   The MRS DIVISION  is open to:

  • Married women at least 21 years of age*;  who are

  • Natural born females, married to a born male and residing with same;  and

  • A resident, attend school, own property or is employed in the state in which she is applying.

  • Contestant must not hold a national title with any other Pageant, as of April 1 of competition year; and may not compete in any other pageants during her reign.  

Contestants may not compete in other pageants and are required to sign a titleholders agreement.  She must also not hold a national title with any other pageant as of April 1, 2011.  Contestants are required to make at least one personal appearance a month.

 

*A three week grace period, prior to and after May 1 may be granted.

What form of payment do you accept?

 

We accept personal and business checks, money orders and all major credit cards via Google Credit Card services.  All returned checks will incur a $45 Return Check processing fee.

Is there a Talent Competition?

 

N, there is no talent competition and contestants are not required to have a talent. 

 

 

 

 

Will I be required to have a Platform?

 

No.  However, we encourage all contestants to become active volunteers in their communities.  Although having a platform (a community service project or cause you feel compassionate about) is not required to participate in the National Pageant, The America's Miss Organization strongly promotes community involvement and encourages contestants to help promote social causes and make personal appearances.  The NEW! America's Miss Teen, America's Miss, America's Ms. and America's Mrs. 2011 will become become ambassadors and spokesperson for the Starlight Children's Foundation for America's Miss Pageants.
